  • Christmas Poinsettias

    Christmas Poinsettias

    Presented by M&P Committee

Again this year your M&P Committee will be selling poinsettias as our annual fundraiser. We will be taking orders on three Sundays, November 17, November 24 and December 1. These lovely red or white flowers come in a 6 inch pot and are perfect for decorating your home and our church sanctuary this upcoming holiday season or as gifts.

The price is only $12.00 each and all proceeds go to support the work of our church here at Emmanuel. Traditionally the poinsettias that are ordered are used to decorate the church during Advent and may be picked up following the Christmas Eve service. For those who wish to pick up earlier, flowers will be available at the church Saturday December 7 between 10 and 11 am.

Please see Rik Aikman, Marg Benzie, Laura Fisher or Doug Houston in the hall at Sip n’ talk to place your orders. Thank you for your support.

  • Regen Christmas Campaign 2024

    Regen Christmas Campaign 2024

    November 7th – December 8th

This Christmas season we are changing the way we give to Regen. We will not be asking you to donate items like we have in past years, instead a donation tin will be put up in place of the Tin Bucket for cash and gift card donations. The funds will be given to Regen to bulk purchase the items most needed. Regen uses the power of purchase approach to buy in bulk and they can get much more for the same money that we would individually spend to purchase a few items.

In the past few years many members have said it was hard to find the size of the items requested or to get out to shop. The committee heard your concerns and decided to try this new approach. Cash donations, gift cards to Tims or McDonalds and donations through envelopes marked Christmas Gift Items, will be sent to Regen after the campaign ends on December 8th.

Thank you for your generosity and continued support for this annual campaign to help those in need in our community.

  • Trunk Sale / Plant Sale

    Trunk Sale / Plant Sale

Our spring trunk sale was a damp success!

We had 11 paid tables plus a coffee table.  And when the rain came we all made it safely inside,  except the plants and BBQ.  A splendid time was had by all.  $255 was raised for the UCW,  but $560+ was raised for the general fund by plant sales alone.  The Men’s club raised $186.25, Mike Davis and family donated $200 from the BBQ, plus the outreach table, and plus the people who gifted back their proceeds from their sales; the General fund raised well over  $1,000.  Thanks to all who had a spot or came to buy and visit on Saturday.
