United Church Women (UCW)

The UCW is the United Church Women, an organization which promotes the total mission of the church through Christian Witness, Study and Fellowship.  The current President of the general UCW is Vilia Fera and can be reached at vkfera@rogers.com.  The UCW groups invites all women of the congregation who seek to worship, grow in faith and serve others. Contact the Church office for details so you can discern which is the right fit for you!

There are three UCW units at Emmanuel, the Happy Hearts, the Sunshine group and the Sew and So's.  The first two meet in the daytime and the last meets in the evening, once a month.  We work on fundraising, special events and catering within our congregation.

UCW Unit 5 ("Sew and So's") enjoys working on the banners for our church but no sewing skills are necessary to join us. Each meeting involves a short worship service and a time to socialize while we work on a banner. We participate in all UCW activities like the Fall Bazaar and the Spring Sale. We meet upstairs the second Tuesday of each month at 7 pm.
